Final Exam & Submissions

April 23 2026, 0 Comments

The final exam period for our class is May 11th from 3 pm – 6 pm. As I’ve mentioned previously you have the chance to revise any of your projects in the time period between our final class and the final exam period… you are not required to do this, but this gives you a chance to rework anything that needs improvement. Please make sure all projects in your Google folder are high-quality .mov files and clearly labeled if they have been revised.

+ If any of your projects have been revised, clearly mark them “REVISED” in the file name.
+ Late submissions will not be accepted.

Final Exam Presentation Requirements:

+ Our Exam will be a Title Sequence screening and critique of your finals for Project 3
+ Preparation and submission of Final Digital Deliverables due (see below)

Final Digital Deliverables:
+ A final, high-quality render for Projects 1, 2, and 3.
+ A Storyboard PDF of 8 frames for the News Flash and Title Sequence project using our 11″x17″ Storyboard Template (made of key frames from actual video files)
+ Sketches & Process, Drafts, Finals (your work organized into these folders)

Each project should be in its own clearly labeled folder, with sub-folders for project process, as appropriate, and using the naming conventions described below.

For example:
Project 1: Motion Studies [folder]
– Sketches & Process – sketches, visual research, key frame comps, etc. (process documentation)[folder]
– Preliminary Drafts [draft renders]
– Final Draft(s) [If you revised, please include the original and the new one including “Revised” in the title]
– Storyboard of 8 frames using our 11″x17″ Storyboard Template (made of key frames from actual video file]
– Naming convention (using my name as example)
JBernstein_MotionStudy1_(NameOfPrinciple)
JBernstein_MotionStudy2_(NameOfPrinciple)
JBernstein_NewsFlash_Draft-1
JBernstein_NewsFlash_Final

(etc.)

Please submit all the above to our Motion Final Deliverables
Let me know if you have any questions.

We’re near the end! Good luck!
