For\u00a0this project, you will develop your own personal brand identity that reflects your core values as a designer. The process will involve research and self-discovery, as well as the design of how you want to portray yourself as a designer to the public.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Determine the insights and core\u00a0attributes that comprise your own identity based on what makes you different &amp; relevant:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&gt; Your training (skills, education, expertise)<br \/>\n&gt; Your creative drive (creative propellers &amp; urges)<br \/>\n&gt;\u00a0Your personality (epitomizing character traits, ethical virtues)<br \/>\n&gt; Your cultural background (your story, your family&#8217;s legacy, your affiliations)<br \/>\n&gt; Your brand promise (the value you bring)<br \/>\n&gt; Your creative vision\u00a0and sensibility<br \/>\n&gt; Your name in relation to sound or to cultural cadences\u00a0\u2014 making a connection between these attributes and design practice<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your brand identity should communicate your key attributes and values\u00a0as a designer, a thinker, and a maker.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>\u2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong><br \/>\nDesign your personal brand identity system comprised by:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\/ Logomark<br \/>\n\/ Wordmark (if applicable &#8212; if the logo does not function as a wordmark)<br \/>\n\/ Social Media Avatar (a distilled version of the most iconic visual attribute of your brand)<br \/>\n\/ Supporting Typeface<br \/>\n\/ Supporting Color Palette<br \/>\n\/ Secondary elements (if applicable) Ex: Photography, Texts, Textures, Patterns, Icons<br \/>\n\/ Applications: Stationery System,\u00a0R\u00e9sum\u00e9, Creative Contract Documents, Promo &#8220;Take away&#8221;\u00a0item<br \/>\n(This system will later be applied to your personal website \/ online portfolio)<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nProcess<br \/>\n<\/strong>During your process of personal discovery, consider the following principles when associating concepts with visuals: semiotics (syntactic and semantic relationship of signs), foreground and background relationship, gestalt, balance, proportion, unity, symmetry\/asymmetry, contrast and rhythm, decode and encode, fluidity, dynamics &amp; interactivity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\/\u00a0Research &gt; Personal\u00a0&amp;\u00a0Cultural Background \/ Identify Core Values or Attributes \/ Brand Personality \/ Find connections<br \/>\n\/ Strategy &gt; Concept \/ Positioning \/ Defining personality, promise, communication goals<br \/>\n\/ Design &gt; Logo \/ Tagline \/ Look-&amp;-feel framework<br \/>\n<span class=\"s1\"><b>\/ <\/b>Implementation<b> &gt;\u00a0<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s3\">Stationery\u00a0System,\u00a0R\u00e9sum\u00e9, Website, Promo\/ Take Away<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nResources<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/thenounproject.com\/\">Noun Project<br \/>\n<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/acmgd.info\/gd5\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/JuliaResende_Branding101.pdf\" rel=\"\">JuliaResende_Branding101<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nFor Tuesday, September 30th:<\/strong><br \/>\nTell your story.
