Narrative Project: Class Critique 1
On Monday, October 28th and Wednesday October 30th, each of you will present your Narrative Project progress for class critique. (Combined classes meeting in room 427.) This is an important project milestone presentation to help you push your project forward and receive feedback on your design solutions.
Please note that there are only 4 more weeks to focus solely on your Narrative project, including next week. After November 13th’s Narrative Project Critique, we will be focusing on your Capstone ideation, although you will be continuing to develop/refine your Narrative project. (See Class Schedule for more details.)
It is important that you carefully read and follow the presentation directions and criteria below. (This will also be a factor in your evaluation.) If you have any questions, please let us know.
*In addition, you are required to be present and participate in all critiques, on both days. This is an important part of your educational experience, and professional conduct as a designer and member of our studio community.
EVALUATION CRITERIA:
Each Medium you create should be a distinctly different interpretation / design solution (different visual language, imagery, typography, etc.) of your story that utilizes the unique affordances of each medium.
Be prepared to explain your rationale for these choices.
*This presentation is not graded but the work you present at this stage will be evaluated and referenced while evaluating your final semester grade for this course.
1. PRESENTATION FORMAT
All work will be projected on-screen for presentation along with physical samples for print/artifact-based mediums as described below. Physical prints/spreads/prototypes must be ready to present at the start of class time.
2. UPLOADING YOUR WORK
All work needs to be uploaded into your Folder on our shared Google Drive in PDF format. This will allow us to be as efficient as possible during the critique and we have as much time as possible to provide feedback. (One log-in to our Google Drive at the start of class, not multiple log-ins throughout.) Thanks!
