After Thanksgiving, we will hold the Capstone Ideation Presentations for review [possibly via Zoom]. Each of you will be sharing three proposed capstone directions. (See below for presentation components, presentation directions and requirements.)

Based on the feedback and critique you receive, we will collectively help you choose one direction to develop over Winter Break.

For all three (3) of your potential Capstone concept directions, please present the following for each:
+ 100-word abstract This should include:
– description of your topic and point of view (the “what” and the “why” or your point of view)
– identification of your target audience and project goal
– discussion of your three (3) potential mediums, and why you have selected them (affordances)

+ Proposed working project title

+ Preliminary Research
– Academic Research
– Visual Research

+ Project management plans for moving forward
– How will you access your audience?
– Will you have unique production specifications?
– What Design Research Methodologies do you plan to use? (Qualitative, Quantitative, or both?)

Capstone PDF Presentation Specifications:
+ Letter sized (8.5″ x 11″)
+ Landscape format
+ Title page (full name, date, professors)
+ Index page (title of each concept direction)
+ Thank you page (last page of presentation)

Each Student will have approx. 10 minutes to present including feedback and discussion so we will need to move quickly and efficiently through both days. *Please plan to speak for only 2-3 minutes to allow for as much time as possible for feedback and discussion.

Reminders: 
+ We will meet on Monday and Wednesday from 4 pm – 6:50 pm as usual in our classroom
+ Present your Capstone Ideation in a PDF presentation format, upload your Ideation Presentation here
+ Plan to speak only very briefly (2-3 mins) to leave as much time as possible for feedback and discussion
+ Be prepared to take notes as you will use this feedback to further develop/refine your Capstone direction and continue your work over Winter Break. (You may want to ask a classmate to take notes for you. Sometimes this can work best.)
