Committee Breakout: Every Thursday from 11:30am – 12:30pm

Selecting Committees:
We will draw names during class and each student chooses their committee.

BRANDING (3 People)
– Exhibition Identity
– Identity System: Logo, Type System, Color Palette, Elements

Students will design a robust supporting identity system that encompasses the exhibition theme and can be applied to all exhibition collateral. The final system will be packaged, and can easily be distributed to the other committees for their use. Class is your client!

COLLATERAL (4 People)

– (Foldout) Poster
– Invitation (Postcard)
– Digital Promotion Materials
– Formats for Social Media

Students will develop supporting text and visual language to promote the exhibition, translating it to digital collateral. A digital exhibition collateral package will be developed for distribution to the other committees, the University, Media outlets, etc. Class is your client!

3/11/25: First draft of invitation due
3/13/25: Second draft of invitation due
3/18/25: Final draft of invitation due, goes to print

– Custom Website Assets
– Site population
– Digital Presence 

This committee will design assets for an existing platform that represents this exhibition.  — The projects presented will also include profiles of each student (including portraits, capstone abstracts, bios & project images) and the ability to share the work on social media outlets.

– Content Gathering

Other responsibilities include: Accessing individual project needs, creating an exhibition layout, and producing exhibition graphics, text, labels, and more.

COPYWRITING – LANGUAGE, PRESS INITIATIVES + OUTREACH (4 People)

– Exhibition Press Release
– Social Media Posts
– Email & Mailing Campaigns
– Abstracts

For Strong Writers!

The committee will write a press release/exhibition synopsis to be distributed at large. Students will consult with the Collateral team on strategy for social media and will develop posts and populate outlets making use of their designed provisions. Additional content will be developed for marketing, social media campaigns, etc. > This team can manage the acm_gd IG account to promote the Exhibition. This team is also responsible for creating a mailing/audience list for outreach.

PROGRAMMING (3 People)
– Opening Reception
– Exhibition Programs

This committee is responsible for defining a live event for the opening. Consider opening statements from students, presentations/talks from professionals in the field, and ways to celebrate (music, videos, etc). Possible Programming: Virtual Tours for Students, Workshops, Artist Talks, Performance/Happening, etc.
