  1. Soft-cover wrap-around over perfect bound OR accordion-fold structure
  2. Inner Cover
  3. Half title page or title page spread
  4. Introduction (written by student)
  5. Table of Contents
  6. Infographics or Data Visualization: one historical timeline (if appropriate), and 2 additional
    infographics (or 3 if timeline not included)
  7. Guts: minimum two sections, four spreads each (as appropriate)
  8. Bibliography
  9. Image Credits/Sources
  10. Colophon
  11. Inner Back Cover

LAYOUT COMPONENTS

  1. Pagination – page numbers/folios in place
  2. Running “heads” or “feet” (left = Editorial title; right = section title)
  3. Contents Page – page numbers are correct
  4. Linked imaged
  5. All images have effective PPI above 150 (See under Link Info)
  6. All images are JPGs, PNGs, EPS, AI or PSD — all CMYK or all RGB + Grayscale
  7. Refine your paragraph rags
  8. Spell-check
  9. Check/fix widows and orphans
  10. Proper hyphenation
  11. Include Sources and Photo Credits
  12. Images bleed at 0.125″ (“pull” out bleeds in your documents; export PDF “with crop marks and bleeds”
  13. No small text running through gutter
  14. Consistent margin space
  15. Consistent paragraph width & alignment
